Weekday Activity Group (WAG) October Activity

Continuing our cultural exploration during Hispanic Heritage Month, on October 14th we will visit the Museum of Fine Arts to view the Latino and Latin American Art Exhibit featuring both modern and contemporary art in all media, from Mexico, Central and South America, the Caribbean, and Latino artists in the United States. 

Event Details

• Registration Deadline: Sunday, October 11 at 5:00 PM. Advance online payment is required by this deadline to reserve your tour slot. Please note that we will not be able to accept in-person payments on the day of the tour. 

• Cost: $30 per person (applies to both MFAH members and non-members; price includes the online payment service fee)

• Dress Code: Please wear your fabulous HHWC t-shirts!

️ Part 1: MFAH Latino & Latin American Art Exhibit

• Tour Meeting Options:

  1. Carpool: Meet at the clubhouse at 10:30 AM

  2. Meet at Museum: Be at the museum by 11:00 AM

• Location: The exhibit is located in the building on the North side of Bissonnet St.

• Parking: The parking garage entrance is on Main St. We will receive a reduced parking rate of $10 per vehicle.

Part 2: Lunch at La Mexicana

• Time: Approximately 12:30 PM

• Location: 1018 Fairview Ave. (Upper dining area)

• Parking: Available in the restaurant parking lot or on the street.

• Recommendation: Try the famous "Messy Nachos"!
