At the Houston Heights Woman's Club, we believe in the power of small, consistent efforts to create a big impact. We're gratified to support the Heights community through a variety of ongoing volunteer projects and donation drives. Our members dedicate hundreds of hours each year to making a difference right here in our neighborhood.
We have a long-standing partnership with the Communities in Schools (CIS) program, providing year-round support to at-risk students in area public schools. Our initiatives are designed to lift morale and provide a little extra joy throughout the school year.
Halloween Treat Bags: Each fall, we put together treat bags filled with goodies to give students a festive and fun Halloween.
Annual CIS Holiday Wish List: We work with CIS to fulfill holiday wish list items for students who might otherwise go without, ensuring they have a memorable holiday season.
Graduation Recognition: We celebrate our students' achievements by writing personalized supportive graduation cards and sponsoring graduation parties, honoring their hard work and dedication.
Several donation drives are organized throughout the year to provide essential items to those in need.
Feminine Hygiene Drives: We collect and donate feminine hygiene products to HISD students, helping to ensure that girls in our community have access to these necessities.
Food Pantry Donations: Our small, ongoing in-kind donation drives collect non-perishable food items to support local food pantries, making sure our neighbors have access to food.
In addition to our organized drives, our members are dedicated to a range of other volunteer efforts, contributing hundreds of hours annually. We believe that whether it's lending a hand at a Club event or assisting a small non-profit, every act of service matters.
Our club is built on a legacy of philanthropy and friendship. We invite you to learn more about our mission and consider joining us. Every member, every donation, and every volunteer hour helps us continue our commitment to improving the lives of those in our community.
