Spring General Meeting: The History of Toys

Please join us for our quarterly General Meeting. This is your essential opportunity to get critical Club updates in person. 

Program: Have you visited the Houston Toy Museum?

Adding excitement to nearby 19^thStreet since 2022, the museum features an ever-changing array of toys through the ages. It’s a fun mix of toys, pop culture, and history.  Museum owners Matt and Sara Broussard will tell us what it’s like to live the dream of establishing and managing a museum. Spend a nostalgic afternoon with us as we journey down memory lane, learning about the iconic toys and playtime trends that defined the decades. 

Details: Arrive at 1:30pm for drinks, light bites, and socializing. The meeting will start at 2pm

Community Outreach: Members are invited to join in supporting our ongoing partnership with Communities in Schools® (CIS) to celebrate the Class of 2026. Our goal is to raise $700 to provide small graduation gift cards for 70 deserving seniors at Heights High School.

The gift cards will be included with personalized congratulatory cards, which will be penned by members during our May Weekday luncheon.

How to Give:

• Cash is Encouraged: We encourage cash donations for this drive at the meeting. Giving cash ensures 100% of your gift goes directly to the students by avoiding processing fees.

• Zelle: You may also donate via Zelle to treasurer@houstonheightswomansclub.com. Please indicate the reason for payment in the "Message to Recipient" section.

• Equality Matters: We ask for monetary donations only so we can ensure all 70 students receive gift cards of equal value.
