We will saunter up to D'Alba's in Oak Forest and have lunch in their beautiful dining room (AC included!). Crispy brussels are highly recommended! Join us at Crisp to sip, socialize and support our monthly cause.

Last Call: Help Us Reach Our School Uniform Drive Goal!

Our 11th annual School Uniform Drive is in its final days, and the finish line is well within sight! Your support right now can help push this effort over the top to ensure local elementary and middle schoolers in need start the school year with confidence.

As a reminder, this year’s focus has shifted exclusively to providing new uniforms for students in need. Every dollar raised goes directly toward purchasing new, dress-code-compliant apparel for five area schools. This support helps ensure these students can focus on learning with a sense of pride and belonging.

We will be accepting cash, credit card, and check donations on-site.

Corporate matching funds from eligible donors are also welcomed. Consider maximizing your donation by verifying eligibility for a match through your employer's HR department.

Can't make it but want to contribute? You can still make a difference by donating online here. Please select "School Uniform Drive" as the Cause to ensure your gift is routed appropriately.

Thank you to everyone who has already contributed so generously. Your vital support is deeply appreciated as we work together to achieve this goal for our local students.

What to Expect:

Complimentary appetizers will be provided.
Members are welcome to order any additional food and, of course, purchase their own cocktails from the menu.
Indoor Setting: Rain or shine, we will be gathering completely indoors this time, so no need to worry about the weather!

Summer General Meeting: 250 Years of Courage - the Legacy of the Daughters of the American Revolution (Sunday, July 12, 2026)

Please join us for our quarterly General Meeting. This is your essential opportunity to get important Club updates in person.

Program: As our nation celebrates the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence, we're joining in the semiquincentennial festivities with a talk by HHWC member Sheryl Falk. Sheryl is the new Chapter Regent of the Brazos Valley Chapter of the National Society of Daughters of the American Revolution, a non-profit, non-political organization dedicated to historic preservation, education, and patriotism.

Community Outreach: Members are invited to join in supporting our annual School Uniform Drive benefiting students in need at area public elementary and middle schools through cash or online donations.

Details: Arrive at 1:30pm for drinks, light bites, and socializing. The meeting will start at 2:00pm.

Let's Shake Things Up!

Enjoy a cold margarita or lemonade on a hot summer night as we brainstorm for the future.

After a year of operating as a unified club and with our membership growing, our cherished Arts and Creativity Group is being revamped and renamed.

It will now be known as the Education and Culture Group. Our goal is to continue monthly third-Monday-evening programming that’s possibly educational, usually creative, and definitely fun, and to schedule more outings and weekend activities, too.

This July meeting is a chance for everyone:

Who has enjoyed the Arts & Creativity Group activities in the past and wants to ensure those popular, hands-on programs continue
Who loves the arts and exploring new ideas, culture, and unique stories
Who has a creative hobby, passion or talent to share
Who has ideas about the type of engaging programming or topics we should offer
Who simply wants to connect with friends on a Monday night

Your Assignment: Bring Your Ideas!

To make this new chapter a success, we need your input. Please come to the meeting with your ideas about the kind of events, topics, or hands-on programs that interest you. We will talk about activities that have been well-received in the past, and what we want for the future.

A Note on Volunteering: We do need new leadership for this group, so if you’re willing to help organize one or more programs, that’s very welcome. However, the goal for this meeting is strictly to brainstorm and establish priorities, not to require a volunteer commitment.

3rd Annual White Linen Night at the Clubhouse!

The Club is joining in the fun for White Linen Night again this year! Make plans to mix, mingle, and catch up with fellow members, their partners, and guests in a lively, air-conditioned cocktail-party atmosphere before, after, or in place of your visit to the 19th Street festivities.

Event Details:

Attire: Don your favorite crisp white linen, summer whites, or light festive attire to match the spirit of the evening!
Refreshments: Refreshing iced tea and white sangria, and other cooling beverages will be served alongside a delightful selection of light bites.
Guest Policy: Members are welcome to bring one partner or guest.
Registration Cost: $30 per person.

Proceeds from this event will support our ongoing community outreach programs and the maintenance of our historic clubhouse.

Literary Group | Book Selection Meeting (Thursday, January 14, 2027)
