On March 6, the Houston Heights Woman's Club will welcome members, neighbors, and friends to the Clubhouse for an open house. Please join us to visit with friends, talk to visitors about the Club, and support DRESS FOR SUCCESS HOUSTON!

As part of the HHWC's dedication to community service, we are hosting a suit drive in conjunction with our open house to benefit Dress for Success Houston, a nonprofit organization that provides interview-appropriate suits and career development to disadvantaged women seeking employment. All donations are tax-deductible.

Suits may be dropped off at the clubhouse on March 6, 2014 during the open house. If you have donation items but cannot make the open house, please make arrangements with Jila Bakker (jilabakker@gmail.com) for a pickup or dropoff.

We can only accept interview appropriate women’s suits (skirt or pant), blouses, gently used handbags and shoes (closed toe only), new pantyhose, and scarves.

Don’t have a suit to donate? Send $75! Approximately 65% percent of Dress for Success Houston clients are size 14 to 38 but only 15% percent of their donations are in this size range. Your donation of $75 will purchase a much-needed plus size suit and accessories. Donations may be payable by check to Dress for Success Houston and can be dropped off at the open house.

Dress for Success Houston understands that if a woman doesn’t have a job, she can’t afford a suit. But, without a suit, she can’t get a job! By donating interview-appropriate suits to our Suit Drive, you will be helping low income women in our community get on the road to success.
